The Dyena CAN Network connects the VMU and the Remote Sensors.
It allows up to 16 remote sensors to be placed at any location by routing a single backbone around the vessel and spuring off with drop cables to the required hardware positions.
The Dyena CAN Network is based upon NMEA 2000, utilising the standard NMEA 2000 Micro cables and connectors, but does not use the NMEA 2000 communication protocol. The Dyena CAN network must be kept separate from any other network on the boat.
Power is supplied to all components via the CAN Network. If not using the 4 Way Network Unit, a NMEA 2000 type power tap should be used to provide up to 3A of 9V to 15V over its whole operating voltage range.
